Family and friends say goodbye to Halyna Hutchins, who was shot dead on the set by actor Alec Baldwin. Where the camerawoman finds her final resting place should not be known.

Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins will be buried in close family and friends this weekend. Where the grave of the 42-year-old is located should remain a secret, said a family spokesman for the US magazine “People”. Hutchins was tragically shot and killed by actor Alec Baldwin on October 21 while filming the western “Rust”. The film’s lead actor and producer was handling a prop gun when a gunshot went off and fatally injured Hutchins. Why the Colt was loaded with real ammunition is still an ongoing investigation.

“Halyna was the love of my life and her loss destroyed our family’s dreams. We feel the silence that she has gone forever, as a suffocating silence in our home,” Hutchins widower, attorney Matthew Hutchins, told the magazine ” People “. The native Ukrainian leaves behind her husband and their nine-year-old son. Halyna and Matthew Hutchins had been married for 16 years.

People also posted a photo of Hutchins’ tombstone on its website, which was provided by her family. In addition to her name and her life data, it can be read there: “Her light shapes our lives, keep chasing your vision”. A camera and a film strip are also shown. Matthew Hutchins told the magazine he hoped his wife’s work “can inspire filmmakers and storytellers around the world”.

It is not yet clear whether the 38-year-old will take legal action against the producer team. Reported about two weeks ago US portal “TMZ.com”that Hutchins hired a Los Angeles law firm that specializes in personal injury and negligent homicide. So far, the chief lighting technician and a script overseer have already filed a lawsuit for negligent homicide. Both are demanding damages in an undisclosed amount due to severe mental damage.
