Alcohol increases the risk of developing six types of cancer

In its latest report, the American Association for Cancer Research recalls that alcohol is carcinogenic and that the risk is proportional to the dose.

The locations concerned are: the breast, the large intestine (colon and rectum), the mouth and pharynx, the liver, the esophagus, and the stomach. In the United States, alcohol is the third preventable cause of cancer, after tobacco and obesity. In France, it occupies second position and is responsible for 11% of cancer cases in men and 4.5% in women, which represents 28,000 new cases each year. It is also a cause of chronic diseases and addictions.
