Ajax will soon lose two prominent full-backs. Tagliafico apparently wants to join Barca while Mazraoui announces his departure.
Left-back Nicolas Tagliafico has lost his regular place at Ajax Amsterdam and is apparently pushing for a move to FC Barcelona. That reports the Mundo Deportivo.
Tagliafico has been a long-time choice at Ajax’s left-back in recent years, but this season Daley Blind has mostly been preferred there. The 29-year-old Argentine still has a contract in Amsterdam until 2023, alongside Barcelona Napoli, Marseille and Chelsea are also said to be interested.
Barcelona also close to Mazraoui?
With Noussair Mazraoui also becomes the Dutchman’s right-back repeatedly associated with a move to Barcelona. In any case, the 24-year-old has now announced his departure for the coming summer.
“I think the chances of me staying at Ajax are very slim, maybe five percent,” Mazraoui said after Sunday’s 2-1 win against Eindhoven. His contract expires at the end of June, so he could move on a free transfer.
