Flight operations at Berlin Airport were restricted in the evening. Due to a power failure, no take-offs and landings could be carried out.
Due to a power failure in the tower, there were no take-offs or landings at Berlin Airport for a short time in the evening. As a spokesman for German air traffic control said, the power went out around 5:30 p.m., but the emergency generators did not start.
Temporarily, therefore, power from batteries had to be used. The “Berliner Morgenpost” reported first.
Flight operations resumed after a certain time – but with restrictions. Air traffic was disrupted until 7:30 p.m. To what extent, the spokesman for air traffic control could not initially say.
