Several German retail and food companies have donated. A good 100 truckloads have already been transported to Poland.

More than 3000 tons of donated food from Germany have now been brought to the Ukraine via a coordination center of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture. A good 100 truckloads with almost 3,300 pallets were transported for this purpose, as the ministry in Berlin announced.

Mainly staple foods, water, juice, baby food and canned fish and meat are delivered via transhipment points in Poland. The products were donated by several German retail and food companies.

Department head Cem Özdemir (Greens) thanked the companies for unbureaucratic and quick help. “Solidarity with Ukraine and its people is a question of humanity.” According to the information, aid supplies from Germany were distributed in the direction of Kharkiv, Kyiv, Zaporizhia and Chernihiv. According to this, a total of around 4100 pallets have been promised, including the goods that have already been delivered.

The federal coordination office for commercial donations was set up to bring together inquiries from Ukraine and offers. She is in contact with public authorities in the Ukraine about the need and informs interested companies in Germany about it.
