The two AI voice bots have been generating synthetic podcasts called “Deep Dive” for some time now, with amazingly convincing human voices. But then they found out that they aren’t human at all. What happened next seems like the finest existentialist theater that we urgently need to spread before considering what it says about the state of AI research, the relationship between humans and machines, or the world.
