Ahr valley: woman missing since flood disaster found dead in Rotterdam | Regional

The river carried them more than 300 kilometers – all the way to Holland!

A woman from the Rhineland-Palatinate Ahr valley who has been missing since the flood disaster was found dead in Rotterdam. The body was discovered a few weeks ago, said a spokesman for the Koblenz police force responsible for the Ahr valley on Friday. Apparently the woman was driven through the Rhine to Rotterdam.

Only at the end of September could investigators have been able to identify the woman using a DNA sample. The analysis took time. The number of people missing after the flood thus fell to two, while the number of deaths rose by one to 134.
