After the adhesive attack on Madonna: the police search apartments in Leipzig

In search of evidence, around 60 police officers have been searching several houses in Leipzig since Thursday morning. The measure is aimed at three suspects between the ages of 22 and 29. One man and one woman are suspected of having stuck themselves to the world-famous painting “Sistine Madonna” in the Dresden Zwinger in the summer. Another man is said to have participated in the action. This was announced by the public prosecutor’s office in Dresden and the Saxon State Criminal Police Office. After the search has been completed, the police intend to comment on the results later today.

According to the State Art Collections, the suspects, who belong to the “Last Generation” climate protest network, caused property damage in the five-digit range with the adhesive attack.
