After the deadly killing spree in a Hamburg community center of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser calls for consequences in gun law. “After such an act, nobody can simply go back to business as usual,” said the SPD politician Süddeutsche Zeitung. It is clear “that we need stricter and more regular reviews,” Faeser said. “We have to make sure that if there are indications that the person concerned is dangerous, gun licenses are not even issued or withdrawn in good time.”
