Emmanuel Macron announced new restrictive measures in the face of the Covid-19 epidemic this Wednesday evening. After that, the SNCF site was difficult to access, due to very heavy demand.

But the SNCF assures us: the trains will run as planned during the Easter weekend. “All Inoui, Ouigo, Intercités, regional and international trains planned will run normally until April 5 inclusive,” said the company. SNCF intends to circulate 1,500 TGV and 220 Intercités from Friday to Monday.

“No particular price inflation”, according to SNCF

“Ticket prices remain capped at the levels usually observed for a weekend, so that there is no particular price inflation,” said SNCF.

If travel will be restricted beyond 10 kilometers, Emmanuel Macron indicated that for the Easter weekend, “our fellow citizens who wish to change region to go isolate themselves will be able to do so during this Easter weekend”. This tolerance “ends Monday evening”, then specified the Ministry of the Interior.

SNCF indicates that an adapted transport plan will be presented for the main lines next week. It has already been sharply reduced since Monday.

As for the Junior & Cie service (unaccompanied children), it will continue to be provided during the weekends for reservations already made until March 18, but it is no longer available for reservation.

All main line tickets – TGV Inoui, Ouigo and Intercités, connecting TER – are exchangeable and refundable free of charge until the last moment until April 18.
