A father snatches their child from his mother, drives away against her will, is sentenced to a fine – and does the same thing again less than two years later. What happened at Hamburg Airport at the weekend should be shocking. It not only raises questions about the safety of airports in Germany – but also about that of women and children. Far too often they are not adequately protected from repeat offenders.
