BVB lost the top game against FC Bayern. After the game, the Dortmunders were angry about the referee. England international Jude Bellingham went a step further.
Borussia Dortmund feels of referee Felix Zwayer for his chance of winning in the top Bundesliga game against Bayern Munich (2: 3) cheated. “You give a referee who has already postponed games the biggest game in Germany. What do you expect?” Said BVB professional Jude Bellingham in an interview about the referee from Berlin.
He was alluding to Zwayer’s involvement in the match-fixing scandal of former referee Robert Hoyzer about a decade and a half ago. The investigation against Zwayer had initially been discontinued.
After revelations in the weekly newspaper “Die Zeit” in 2014, however, Zwayer was banned by the DFB Sports Court for six months because, among other things, he had not reported the “match manipulation known to him” directly.

Also trainer Marco Rose, whom Zwayer had shown yellow-red for “repeated unsportsmanlike conduct”, became spiteful. “Mr Zwayer can still whistle a few more times for BVB, we are here and prepare for everything that comes next. He can throw a few sticks and stones in our way,” he said at Sky.
Zwayer explained his penalty decision after a handball by Mats Hummels and called the scene “undisputed”. Hummels had “cleared the ball clearly with his elbow, that is to be assessed as a penalty,” he said on Sky. Robert Lewandowski had converted the penalty to the winning goal for Bayern.
