After amputation: 57-year-old without legs climbs the mountain on all fours

The 57-year-old Paul Ellis creates something unbelievable: The Englishman climbs Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Scotland – on all fours.

As early as 2008, the family man underwent a double amputation below the knee.

The reason for this is a serious accident that left both his legs paralyzed and a broken leg a few years later.

Last year, the adventurous Paul decided to climb the 1,345 meter high mountain with prostheses.

But that wasn’t enough for him. He wanted to take on a new challenge – this time without prostheses – to show how strong amputees can be.

With his campaign he also wants to raise money for a charity that supports children with amputations.

He describes the hike as “very, very painful”. Still, he was determined to master it, no matter the pain he endured.

With his brave action, Paul not only masters a new personal challenge, but also raises £5,000 in the process.
