External power supply to Ukraine’s Zaporizhia nuclear power plant has been restored following the recent Russian attacks. The power is flowing again, said power grid operator Ukrenerho. The diesel generators used for the emergency supply could be switched off again.

Power plant operator Enerhoatom had previously announced that the power supply had been interrupted. The plant is dependent on 18 diesel generators, with which it can be operated for ten days. At least ten dead after Russian attacks
At least ten people were killed in the worst Russian attacks in weeks on several Ukrainian regions. In Kiev and Kharkiv, among others, there were massive power and heat supply failures. Five bodies were found in the rubble of a house destroyed in an attack in Lviv in the west of the country, said the region’s governor, Maxym Kosyzki. In the Dnepropetrovsk region in eastern Ukraine, a 34-year-old man died as a result of the shelling, the region’s governor Serhiy Lysak wrote in the online service Telegram.
Return to “poor tactics”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia had “returned to its poor tactics” to intimidate Ukrainians and “terrorize civilians”. Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Valery Zalushny said Ukraine had intercepted 34 out of 81 Iranian-made cruise missiles and four out of eight Shahed drones fired from “different locations”.
Russia, on the other hand, justified heavy rocket attacks on Ukraine in response to fighting in the Russian border region of Bryansk. “In response to the terrorist acts organized by the Kiev regime on March 2 in the Bryansk region, the Russian armed forces launched a massive revenge attack,” Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
On March 2, Russian authorities claimed that a Ukrainian sabotage group had entered Russian territory and killed two civilians there. President Vladimir Putin spoke of a “terrorist attack”. Kyiv, on the other hand, denied participation.
