Situation in Afghanistan:Afghan interior minister promises “peaceful change of power”

- With the capture of Jalalabad by the Taliban, Kabul is the last major city in the country that has not yet been conquered.
- Now the Taliban are evidently advancing towards Kabul. Afghanistan’s interior minister promises a “peaceful transfer of power”.
- The federal government wants to get remaining German citizens and Afghan local workers in Kabul out of the country quickly.
