In an interview with the British “Vogue” Adele said that she could never afford a house in London like hers in Los Angeles. That is one of the reasons why she moved to California.
Adele moved from London to California years ago. The British singer emigrated to Los Angeles after her global success, and has lived there since then in close proximity to Hollywood celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence. However, one of the reasons for this decision sounds strange: In an interview with the British “Vogue” Adele has now revealed that the overpriced London real estate market has also been decisive for the USA.
“I couldn’t afford a house like I have in LA in London. Never,” she said. And in response to the reporter’s incredulous demand, he said: “I looked at houses. They cost hundreds of millions of pounds. I don’t have that much money.”
Adele also wanted good weather and fresh air
According to Adele, around 30 million dollars “NY Post” Spent three properties and lots next to each other in Beverly Hills in the past five years. Her ex-husband Simon Konecki has now moved into one of them so that he can stay close to their son. Overall, the property should be around 18,000 square meters. But in addition to the lack of money, something else was decisive for California: It was also about quality of life. In London she was mostly in cars or in buildings. “I wanted fresh air and a place where I can see the sky. And besides, since I had Angelo: If you have a child in England and it rains and you have no plan, then you are dead!”
Incidentally, the singer still has a home in London – albeit a smaller one than in California.
