Her fans are freaking out for joy: Adele is releasing new music this week. It wasn’t exciting enough for just one follower. Now, Adele’s response to an outrageous question is being celebrated.

The countdown is running! On October 15th, singer Adele finally released music again – after a break of around six years. Your fans are correspondingly euphoric. At the weekend, the 33-year-old sang a few seconds of her new single on Instagram. And the fans are already talking about the “Song of the Year”. (Read more about it here.)

Not only the little vocal part generated attention, but also Adele’s reaction to an outrageous question from a fan. The singer answered questions from followers in a so-called Q&A (question and answers) on Instagram. A user asked about hers body count. And she reacted confused: “What does that mean?”

“Body count” is a slang and vulgar expression for the question of how many people you have had sexual intercourse with in your life. A user uploaded the few seconds to Twitter – and the scene went viral. Around two million people saw the clip, with almost 20,000 retweets and 125,000 likes on top. And in the reactions, many users celebrated: Inside Adele’s authentic, cool reaction to the rather clumsy question, for which the questioner had to take harsh criticism at the same time. Seen in this way, the scene ended well for the popular singer – because in a Q&A, unpleasant questions can also backfire.
