Isabell Stern: Love and Life in the Spotlight
Since November 2023, Isabell Stern, 42, has captivated audiences as Katja Saalfeld in the popular ARD telenovela ‘Sturm der Liebe’. Beyond her successful acting career, Isabell has found her own true love in Jonathan Beck, 33, who also shares her passion for acting. In a recent interview, she opened up about their relationship, including the interesting age gap between them.
A Playful Take on Age Differences
In her conversation with ‘T-Online’, Isabell shared, “We still don’t notice the age difference and are never addressed about it.” She humorously added, “Sometimes we joke that he will eventually be the caregiver, but statistically, men die a few years earlier.” Their playful banter reflects a healthy dynamic, as Isabell remarked, “That’s why we consciously chose this age difference, so we can both be around for the same amount of time.” The pair first crossed paths at a town hall reception in Munich, where they were introduced through mutual friends. After weeks of exchanging messages and letters, their feelings blossomed, culminating in their first kiss six weeks later.
Isabell and Jonathan are also proud parents to their seven-year-old son, Marlon. The actress balances her career with family life, sharing insights into their daily routines. “Jonathan is increasingly filming feature films, which means he is working full-time for four to six weeks at a time, often in different locations. During this time, the family has to stick together,” she explained. Isabell also noted that her son enjoys visiting the set of ‘Sturm der Liebe’, where he often engages himself with books or drawing while she films.
Despite their strong bond, Isabell revealed that a wedding is not on the horizon. “So far, we just don’t feel the need, and it would currently really be a matter of timing to organize something like that,” she stated. Emphasizing the importance of mutual support and trust, she added, “Especially in the role of a parent, I find it important to allow for personal space.” Isabell believes in the value of individual time, a lesson she learned from her own parents, and she cherishes the moments when both she and Jonathan can pursue their interests independently.
