Actor sentenced to 16 years in prison for attempted assassination

Actor Saïd Bogota, known for his roles in Taxi 5 and Pattaya, was sentenced Tuesday to 16 years in prison by the Essonne Assize Court for minors for kidnapping, kidnapping and trying to kill a 17-year-old teenager against a background of jealousy in love. A minor, accused of complicity in kidnapping, forcible confinement and attempted murder was acquitted. Two other accomplices who actively participated in the events were sentenced to 10 and 13 years in prison.

The small actor and his two accomplices are condemned for violence against a 17-year-old apprentice mechanic, new boyfriend of the ex-girlfriend of Saïd Bogota. The victim was kidnapped in December 2018. The young man was held in a basement of a building where Saïd Bogota and his two accomplices subjected him to numerous abuses, including jets of acid and tear gas in the face.

Sprayed with gasoline and set on fire

Worried by a neighbor who is surprised by the noise, the kidnappers transport him, blinded and having trouble breathing, to an isolated field. They continued to molest him, going “crescendo” in violence, recalled the attorney general who had requested 15 to 17 years in prison against the actor, described as “instigator” of the crime.

The teenager receives two short-range flashball shots to the head before Said Bogota, by his own admission, inflicts about 20 tow hook hits on the skull. Before being sprayed with gasoline and then set on fire, the victim maintained that he heard Saïd Bogota panic: “Now that he has seen my face, he must be finished”. The actor had briefly confessed Wednesday to having wanted to kill the teenager while he was fleeing, before returning to this confession two days later.
