Russell Crowe not only has many fans as an actor – he also inspires audiences as a musician with his rock band.

Hollywood star Russell Crowe (“Gladiator”) delighted fans with Italian songs at a performance in Rome. The 60-year-old New Zealander, whose family has Italian roots, performed a classic of Italo-pop from the 1980s with his rock band: “Sara perché ti amo” by the group Ricchi e Poveri.

He was then cheered by the audience. In the spring he performed with his band “The Gentleman Barbers” at the Song Festival in Sanremo – but outside of the competition.

Crowe, who won an Oscar for his portrayal of the Roman general Maximus Decimus Meridius in “Gladiator,” is often in Italy. He will not be in the sequel to the 2000 film, which will be released in November.
