Saïd Bogota wants a new trial. The actor, known for his role in Pattaya, appealed against his sentence to 16 years in prison for attempted assassination, the Evry prosecutor’s office said on Monday.

Many abuses
The allegations date back to 2018. In December, a young mechanic was kidnapped and held in a basement of a building where Saïd Bogota and his two accomplices subjected him to numerous abuses, including jets of acid and tear gas in the face. . The actor had briefly confessed during his trial to have wanted to kill the teenager while he was fleeing, before returning to this confession two days later.
