Terrible accident near Waldbronn, south of Karlsruhe: Two boys die in a collision between two cars. The father, another child and a man are injured. What was the cause?
Father was seriously injured
The father’s vehicle was thrown off the road. His ten-year-old son died at the scene of the accident, and the eight-year-old succumbed to his serious injuries during the night. The father was seriously injured in the collision. According to initial findings, the six-year-old son and the 58-year-old driver in the oncoming car were slightly injured. They were also taken to the hospital.
The cause of the accident is being investigated
The cause of the accident is still unclear. An expert was called in. Among other things, he also checks the road conditions at the time of the accident.
The police and fire brigade secured the scene of the accident with a large contingent. The damaged cars were towed away. After the accident, the Albtal route was completely closed for more than five hours due to rescue and cleaning work.
