Two children die when a car crashes into a school in the Wimbledon district. However, no charges are to be brought. The bereaved do not agree.

In the event of a tragic No charges will be brought in the London accident that left two children dead when a car crashed into the grounds of a primary school. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said the driver had no way of preventing the accident in the Wimbledon district last July.

The 46-year-old woman suffered an epileptic accident when she lost control of her car. The driver had never suffered a similar seizure before and had not received a corresponding diagnosis, the CPS statement continued. Two eight-year-old girls died in the accident and at least one woman was seriously injured.

The bereaved family’s lawyer was disappointed with the decision. “Justice must not only be done, but it must also be understandable,” said the bereaved family’s lawyer Trevor Sterling, according to the British news agency PA. Without charges, there will be no judicial review of the evidence presented. The focus is therefore now on a public inquiry.
