A 38-year-old was seriously injured in a campfire because accelerant was poured into the fire. As a police spokesman said, six adults built a campfire on private property in Selbitz (Hof district) on Saturday evening. At around 10 p.m. one of those involved poured accelerant into the fire. The flames caused the clothing of a 38-year-old from the group to catch fire. According to the police spokesman, the man suffered severe burns to his skin and was taken to hospital in a rescue helicopter. The man who is said to have poured the accelerant into the fire also suffered burns and was taken to hospital. The police are now investigating, among other things, negligent bodily harm. The fire department put out the campfire.
