Accident in Vaterstetten: warehouse worker is cut off fingertip – Ebersberg

A serious industrial accident occurred on Monday at around 10.45 a.m. in the Parsdorf industrial park. A forklift driver cut off the tip of the left index finger of a warehouse worker with the forklift fork, as the Poingen police reported.

The forklift driver, a 39-year-old from Vaterstetten, wanted to remove part of a stack of rubble trays and threaded the fork. At the exact moment when he was tilting the fork, the camp helper, a 27-year-old from Fatherstetten, reached between the fork and the tubs with his left hand, pinching his left hand and severing the tip of his index finger.

The forklift driver had not seen this from his cab position. A preliminary investigation was initiated against him on suspicion of negligent bodily harm. The injured was taken to a special clinic by the ambulance service.
