Because he apparently confused the forward and reverse gear of his car when he parked out, a 73-year-old ran into and injured a 38-year-old woman and her two-year-old daughter in Neubiberg on Wednesday morning. According to the police, mother and child were standing at around 9:40 a.m. in the trunk of their car, which was parked in a parking bay on Friedenstrasse. At the same time, the man from the Weilheim-Schongau district wanted to leave the parking space behind it with his car and probably accidentally drove forwards instead of backwards as planned. This led to a collision, which caused the 38-year-old and her daughter to briefly get trapped between the vehicles. The woman was easily injured and the little girl was badly injured. The mother and daughter were taken to hospital by the emergency services for inpatient treatment. The Munich traffic police took over the further investigations.
