Five young people die in a traffic accident near Karlsruhe during the night. Two other people are seriously injured. The police begin investigating the cause.
Five young people died in a car accident near Karlsruhe. Two other people were seriously injured in the accident in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen. As a police spokesman said, on Saturday night, a car with four occupants skidded and got into the oncoming lane. There the car collided sideways with a large taxi.
The driver of the car and his three passengers died at the scene of the accident, as did a passenger in the large taxi. All accident victims are between the ages of 25 and 29 years, said the spokesman.
The driver and another passenger of the large taxi survived with serious injuries. The cause of the accident was initially unclear. The SWR reported about it first.
