The third version of Aave has been released on Ethereum for the first time. According to a tweet by the Aave team on Jan. 27, “Aave V3” was first released in March 2022 and has been deployed on multiple Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible blockchains. This Ethereum users can only access the “V2” version.
Aave V3 has several features that help users save on fees. For example, the High Efficiency mode, which the developers say, could be useful for borrowers of stablecoins or liquid derivatives.
Additionally, the “isolation” feature allows certain high-risk assets to be used as collateral. as long as they have their own debt ceiling and is only used to borrow Stablecoins.
In V3 there is also a gas tuning algorithm that the developers say will reduce gas fees by 20% to 25%.
