The driver of a high-powered, golden car lost control of his car on Autobahn 93 near Schönwald (Wunsiedel district in the Fichtelgebirge) when he overtook another car on the right at high speed. According to the police on Friday, the two occupants of the car were seriously injured in the accident on Thursday evening.
The car – loud Frankenpost it is a VW Golf – swerved while overtaking, raced into the green verge and up an embankment. There he broke through a wildlife fence and ended up lying on his side in the dense forest behind.
The fire brigade first had to cut a path with chainsaws before the emergency services could free the 36-year-old driver and his 29-year-old passenger from the completely destroyed car. The ambulance took the injured to the hospital. After the accident, the southbound freeway was closed for about three and a half hours. According to the information, there was damage of around 72,000 euros. The police are now investigating against the driver, among other things, for endangering road traffic and negligent bodily harm.
