Monday, around 11:30 am, cyclists discover a woman lying in the street, in La Genevraye (Seine-et-Marne), injured in the head, and warn the police. The victim was repeatedly punched in the face by a man who stole his phone.

Later, a suspect went to the commune police station and admitted the facts on his own. He admitted having hit the victim with a hammer which he then threw into the Loing canal. He was arrested and taken into custody.

According to a police source, the suspect is currently in prison and on the day of the incident, he was granted leave.
