A trafficker ends up in prison after an accident with his car full of cannabis

Whoever wants to traffic well, takes care of his conduct. On November 16, the gendarmes intervened for a traffic accident which occurred in the town of Caudry, near Cambrai, in the North. As is customary, the driver implicated in the accident was tested for alcohol and narcotics.

Lack of luck for the young motorist of 25 years, the test came out positive for cannabis. And not just the test, by the way. Indeed, the gendarmes perceived a strong odor of this same drug coming from the trunk of the car. After opening it, the soldiers discovered a bag containing 1.16 kg of grass and 800 g of cannabis resin. A quantity largely sufficient to justify a search of the young man’s home.

Four people convicted

What the gendarmes found there did not help the motorist’s business. In addition to an additional hundred grams of cannabis, they unearthed a precision scale, a prepaid telephone and the receipt for a transfer of 10,800 euros in cash to a bank account.

The continuation of the investigation will update a real small traffic and will send in police custody three other people, two customers and a “reseller user”. The motorist and the three other defendants went to immediate appearance last Monday. The two were sentenced to 10 months in prison, six of which were suspended on probation. The reseller user took a year, including six months of probation. The injured trafficker was sentenced to 28 months in prison, 22 of which were suspended.
