A farmer tells, on BFMTV this Friday, the story of his attack by Jérémy Rimbaud in 2013. He describes “a hyper dangerous man, who kills, with incredible force”.
One of the victims of the “cannibal of the Pyrenees”, who fled from a psychiatric hospital on Wednesday before being found a few hours later, recounts on BFMTV the attack he suffered in 2013.
“I was delivering corn with my tractor and my trailer and he came to attack me on the tractor with an iron bar and it was very, very violent”, remembers Jean Camy, a farmer, clearly. BFMTV microphone. “He came out of nowhere. We fought afterwards on the ground. I hit him with the bar in the ribs and he didn’t move an inch. And that’s when I realized that he was a superhuman man and he had incredible strength.”

“He had his mouth open and his teeth clenched and that’s when I said to myself ‘we have to escape’ and when I wanted to escape he put an iron bar on my face. ‘shoulder’, says this man again on our antenna. “When the gendarmes came to the scene, I told them he was crazy. And a day or two later, I realized that (I had) escaped death, quite simply. my life (…) He is a very dangerous man, who kills”, explains the victim, still disabled
The year of his assault, the then 26-year-old homeless man made headlines for eating the heart and tongue of a nonagenarian farmer in Nouilhan, a village in the Hautes-Pyrénées. While the victim is at his window, the individual enters his home, hits him with an iron bar, and grabs a knife to disembowel him.
After a new attack on Wednesday, Jérémy Rimbaud was taken back to his psychiatric hospital, his condition having been deemed incompatible with police custody. The Toulouse prosecutor’s office opened an investigation on Friday for “attempted murder” after the attack on a septuagenarian.
