Four partial legislative elections were scheduled for Sunday in Pas-de-Calais, Oise, Paris and Indre-et-Loire. The results of these elections have fallen and could give a foretaste of the regional and departmental events scheduled for the end of June. In Paris, socialist Lamia El Aaraje, supported by Anne Hidalgo, led the first round with 25.66%. She will defend the last socialist headquarters of the capital next Sunday against Danielle Simonnet (La France insoumise, LFI), who obtains 20.78%, according to figures communicated by the parties. In the 20th arrondissement, turnout was limited to 15.6%, or about one in six voters.
This second round will be a test for the Socialists before the regional meetings at the end of June where Audrey Pulvar, also supported by the mayor of Paris, is presented against the outgoing Valérie Pécresse (right) and the candidacies on the left of Clémentine Autain (LFI) and by Julien Bayou (EELV).
Brigitte Bourguignon in the lead in Pas-de-Calais
In the 6th district of Pas-de-Calais, where the participation reached 24.26%, the LREM minister Brigitte Bourguignon comes out ahead of the first round with 34.95% of the vote, ahead of the RN candidate Marie-Christine Bourgeois with 24.02%, followed by Faustine Maliar (LR) with 19.2% and Bastien Marguerite-Garin 12.91% (PS).
In the second round next Sunday, Brigitte Bourguignon will face Marie-Christine Bourgeois, the others not having reached 12.5% of registrants to maintain their position. Brigitte Bourguignon was first elected in 2012 under the PS label against the UMP, before joining LREM and being reelected in 2017 with 60.84% of the vote in the second round, against the candidate RN Marie -Christine Bourgeois.
Only 18.07% stake in Indre-et-Loire
The turnout was also low (18.07%) in the third constituency of Indre-et-Loire, which includes Loches and the south of the agglomeration of Touraine, where the election was held after the resignation of UDI Sophie Auconie for health reasons.
The mayor of Beaulieu-lès-Loches, Sophie Métadier, invested by the UDI and LR and supported by LREM, clearly leads the first round with 45.02% of the vote, followed by the socialist Murielle Riolet (20.06% ), deputy mayor of Chambray-lès-Tours.
LR in the lead in the Oise
After the sudden death of the deputy for the first constituency of Oise, Olivier Dassault, in March, Sunday’s partial legislative had to decide between his nephew Victor Habert-Dassault, appointed by LR but widely accused of “parachuting”, and seven rivals.
The latter came largely in the lead with 58.44% of the vote – or 15% of those registered. He will face in the second round the candidate RN Claire Marais-Beuil (15.27% of the vote) who preceded Roxane Lundy for Generation. s-PS-EELV-PCF-PRG (12.31%), opposition municipal councilor in Beauvais.
