A seawater swimming pool will open this summer at the foot of the Mucem

The idea had been launched a few months ago, in a city where the lack of swimming pools is glaring and the number of children who cannot swim is just as worrying. During his back-to-school press conference, the mayor of Marseille Benoît Payan confirmed the opening of a seawater swimming pool at the foot of the Mucem.

Asked by 20 minutes last June on this possibility, the assistant to the sea Hervé Menchon had sketched out a project including a space dedicated to diving, subject to analyzes of the quality of the waters and the bottom then in progress. A project that will now materialize in a few months.
