A school temporarily blocked, a burnt car

A lively back to school this Friday morning in front of the Couffignal vocational high school, in Strasbourg. About fifteen people temporarily blocked access to the establishment, prompting the intervention of the police and then the firefighters.

Located in the popular district of Meinau, the school was blocked for three hours by the group, which used firecrackers and smoke bombs, according to two high school students educated in this establishment. The national police intervened to restore access, without any notable incident, again according to the two students. According to the Twitter account “Lycée Couffignal in struggle”, this blockage aimed to “protest against the reform” of vocational education.

A connection to a burned-out scooter and car?

At midday, a scooter and a car were set on fire, noted an AFP journalist, without it being known whether this event is linked to the early morning blockade. These events occur the day after the second day of strike and mobilization against the project of reform of vocational education wanted by Emmanuel Macron.

Almost all the organizations of the professional path denounce this reform, which provides in particular for an increase of at least 50% in the time of internships for students, which would reduce the hours of general education.
