Two submachine guns, a semi-automatic rifle, a shotgun and bulletproof vests, and a small amount of drugs. That’s it, according to information from La Dépêche du Midi, the disturbing arsenal discovered on Saturday in an apartment in the La Reynerie district, in Toulouse. The operation was carried out in the afternoon by the Specialized Field Brigade (BST) on the basis of an anonymous information indicating that the premises could serve as a hiding place for drug traffickers.
Five people were arrested on the spot. They were still in police custody on Monday. The investigators of the judicial police sent the weapons to their colleagues of the scientist to determine their history, and in particular to know if they were used in robberies or settling of scores.
