A procession of several hundred people to accompany the “Boss” on his last trip

In black, between the morning fishmongers of the Old Port and La Canebière, several hundred Marseillais gathered to form a procession to the cathedral of La Major, where the religious ceremony for Bernard Tapie is pronounced at 11 a.m.

A scarf around his neck, Nicolas, 39, came to greet “the idol of a whole people of Marseille”. Usually he works at the Prado cinema, but his boss has given him his day. “It is a day of mourning, he told me,” explains the one who was 11 years old in 1993. Georges 68 years old came with his family. “We can say what we want about Tapie, but the main thing is what he did at OM. He marked the history of our city ”.

At 10 am, the procession formed behind a banner of groups of supporters. And it is while singing to the glory of Bernard Tapie and OM that he went to the cathedral to accompany their “Boss” on his last trip. Bernard Tapie will then be buried in the cemetery of Mazargues.
