a physiotherapist and a firefighter accused of having generated a hundred false tests

A physiotherapist and a professional firefighter from Hérault are suspected of having issued a hundred false attestations of negative tests for Covid-19, making it possible to generate 72-hour health passes, the Montpellier prosecutor’s office told 20 minutes, confirming information from Free noon.

The staff of firefighters realized that one of them had connected to the portal which allows to manage the tests, on July 21, with the identifiers of a health professional. The suspect had been surprised by an officer. The investigations made it possible to establish that the connection identifiers used “were those of a masseur-physiotherapist practicing in a liberal capacity in Montpellier”, indicates the parquet floor.

To go to a Formula 1 grand prix or on vacation

In police custody, the firefighter said he had used the identifiers of a physiotherapist friend, “with his consent in order to provide free of charge to knowledge of health passes”, continues the prosecution. For his part, the physiotherapist admitted “having communicated his identifiers to the firefighter while maintaining that he thought that self-test tests had indeed been carried out”.

A hundred false attestations of negative tests would have been generated. The beneficiaries identified by the gendarmes of the Montpellier Research Section are in the friendly entourage of the two accused. “Thus, a friend of the physiotherapist benefited from a false negative PCR test to attend the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix with him. Many false certificates have been generated with a view to departing on vacation or returning to the national territory, ”indicates the prosecution.

Thirty-five people “formally identified as having benefited from false test certificates or health passes were the subject of criminal composition measures for concealing false administrative documents”. They were fined, the amount of which climbs to 3,000 euros. Prosecuted for fraudulent access to an automated data processing system, falsification of administrative documents and use, the two suspects requested time to prepare their defense. They were placed under judicial supervision with the ban from performing their duties. They will be tried on February 9, before the Montpellier Criminal Court.
