A parrot found after a month of disappearance and 100km traveled

He will have spent almost a month in the wild. Missing since April 30, a parrot was found exhausted in Noirmoutier (Vendée) a few days ago. The owner of the beautiful red macaw had relayed a call on social networks to find his animal, which had escaped from his home in La Roche-Bernard, on the border of Morbihan and Loire-Atlantique. The female was finally found more than 100 kilometers from her place of disappearance, after crossing the Loire. Tired but alive.

Thanks to social networks, the owner of the animal was able to follow the journey of his parrot. Seen several times in different places in Loire-Atlantique, the animal had been photographed in Saint-Nazaire but could not be captured. It was a couple from Noirmoutier who had been able to seize the female while she was drinking in her pool, reports France 3. Fed by its temporary hosts, the macaw was returned to its owner who brought it back to the male.
