The son of a resident in palliative care in a nursing home in Nièvre, fatally injured during the night from Wednesday to Thursday, is wanted, corroborated sources announced on Thursday.

The resident, in palliative care at the Lormes nursing home (Nièvre), was found shortly before 8 p.m. seriously injured by a sharp object, said Arnaud Bernard, deputy director of Morvan hospitals.

No criminal record

The patient, who died Thursday around 2:00 am, was discovered “about ten minutes after the departure of her son” who was visiting her, added Arnaud Bernard.

The son is actively wanted, confirmed Nevers prosecutor Alexa Carpentier. Aged in his sixties, he has no criminal record. Her mother was over 90, added Alexa Carpentier without giving further details.
