Less than 48 hours after the racist attack, Sunday evening in Cergy-Pontoise, from an UberEats delivery man, a man was arrested this afternoon, in Paris, we learned from the prosecution, confirming information from the Parisian. Aged in his twenties, known to the police and justice services, he was taken into custody for aggravated violence and aggravated death threats.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the respondent had just been refused an order in a fast food restaurant because of the curfew when he crossed the road of his victim, a delivery man with black skin, who waited in front of the restaurant. He initially attacks him verbally, the individual reproaching the victim in particular for bothering him with his music, before giving him several blows. He was taken care of by firefighters and presented “several wounds”.
A woman who witnessed the altercation then filmed the alleged assailant from her window, who immediately attacked her. In the video, which has gone viral on social networks, we hear the man utter racist insults. He declares in particular “you kind of negress, kind of dirty black (…), for eight hundred years you have been sold like cattle”.
