The gendarmes shot dead a man on Wednesday morning in Danjoutin, a small town south of Belfort. The individual had previously fired in the air several times in front of the Beaucourt gendarmerie and then fled, reports the Republican East.
The soldiers then launched in pursuit of him for ten kilometers and set up several roadblocks. Three of them were forced by the suspect who continued his mad race before the gendarmes ended up stopping his vehicle by hitting it from the side in the city center of Addition. The individual then refused to surrender, displayed his weapon and shot at the police who responded, thus killing the individual.
His motivations are still unknown for the time being. According to the first elements, the individual would be unfavorably known to justice, in particular for cases of narcotics.
