Violence strikes once again the northern districts of Marseille. A man was shot dead at Castellas on Monday evening, we learned from a police source and from the emergency services.
The victim is in his twenties, said the Marseille firefighters, called to the scene around 9:30 p.m., confirming the initial information from BFM Marseille Provence. The investigation was entrusted to the judicial police, said the Bouches-du-Rhône police headquarters.
A city already bereaved in April
The city of Castellas, in the 15th arrondissement of the second city of France, had already been bereaved on the night of April 3, when two men aged 21 and 23 had lost their lives, fatally affected in a shooting.
The same night, two teenagers aged 15 and 16 were also shot dead, in the Joliette district, in the port area, visibly victims of a sponsored killer following the shots a few minutes earlier cited from Castellas. This supposed hitman, arrested three days later, is himself an 18-year-old teenager.
More than 20 deaths linked to drug trafficking since January
