A gang assaults and robs a young handicapped person

The assault dates back to January 5. That evening, a resident of Saint-Gaudens, south of Toulouse, left to make a large cash withdrawal – “just over 1,000 euros” from a police source – from an ATM near his home. It is a habit at the beginning of the month for this 23-year-old young man, placed under curatorship and therefore considered vulnerable. But this time, things go wrong: a car appears with five men in it. They throw themselves on the victim, trip him up and then knock him to the ground. Before fleeing, the gang robs him of his cash and his two bank cards.

The investigation led the police to five suspects, already known to their services. All were picked up Tuesday at home in the early morning. They are between 20 and 30 years old, and four of them belong to the same family. After their custody for violence and aggravated theft, they were brought before a magistrate on Thursday.
