A Franco-Mexican among the bodies of three hostages found dead in the Gaza Strip

Emmanuel Macron expressed his “immense sadness” this Friday after the announcement of the death of the Franco-Mexican Hamas hostage, Orión Hernández-Radoux. His body was recovered overnight by the Israeli army alongside those of two other hostages. “France remains more than ever committed to the release of all the hostages,” wrote the President of the Republic on X.

The Israeli army announced this Friday that it had recovered the bodies of three hostages held in the Gaza Strip since the Hamas attack on Israeli soil on October 7 which sparked the war in the Palestinian territory. The remains of Chanan Yablonka, an Israeli, and Michel Nisenbaum, an Israeli-Brazilian, were also found.

Orion Hernandez Radoux, 32, was attending the Nova music festival in southern Israel when Hamas fighters attacked. He was with his friend Shani Louk, a 22-year-old German-Israeli woman who later appeared in a social media video, lying face down, apparently unconscious and half-naked, in the back of a pickup truck in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army announced on May 17 that it had repatriated his body.
