A former school principal and an elected official from Aveyron among the 48 suspects arrested

They are suspected of having a large number of child pornography images or videos, some of which are violent. Of the 48 people, aged 26 to 79, arrested this week throughout France by the Central Office for the fight against violence against people (OCRVP), at least two “sensitive personalities” are from Occitanie according to the information collected by Free lunch from concurring judicial sources.

The regional daily indicates that one of the suspects is an elected official from a small village in Aveyron, where he is notably in charge of early childhood. His custody has been lifted pending further investigation.

The other man arrested on Tuesday morning is a former director of a school in Carcassonne (Aude), who retired a few months ago. His police custody has been extended and he should be brought before the prosecution this Thursday.
