The firefighters were hired this Friday morning, around 5 a.m., for a fire, which occurred in a student residence, on the banks of the Lez, in Montpellier (Hérault). When the firefighters arrived at the scene of the incident, a 50 m2 apartment had been completely destroyed in this 8-storey building.
Three victims, qualified in “relative emergency” by the firefighters, were transported to the emergency room of the CHU Lapeyronie, in Montpellier, for treatment. They had, according to the firefighters, inhaled toxic fumes. For the moment, we do not know precisely the reasons for this fire. Investigations are ongoing.
