Lisa Feldman Barrett actually wanted to be a therapist, but during her studies, an experiment repeatedly did not work as predicted by emotion research. 25 years later, the psychology professor at Northeastern University and Harvard Medical School advocates a different view of emotions in one of the most watched Ted Talks and most recently in her book “How Feelings Come About”. She is passionate about feelings, and bad research infuriates her – although after the interview you can’t really say that anymore.
