Alix’s Devious Plot Against Bréval
Janet is growing increasingly anxious as she hasn’t heard from Claudine in three days. Time is of the essence for the lawyer, as she needs Eloi Bréval to retract his complaint before an administrative inquiry takes shape.
During her search for answers, Janet meets with the hospital director, who is visibly displeased with Dr. Lewis for not extending an apology to Mr. Bréval. The director fears that if Claudine’s strategy fails, it could severely damage the hospital’s reputation. Janet, however, is confident that this will not be the case.
Meanwhile, Alix and Ludo are busy concocting a plan to ensnare Eloi Bréval. In a clever maneuver, Ludo, riding his bike, blocks Bréval’s path and makes light contact with his foot. He then accuses Bréval of intentionally throwing himself in front of the bicycle. Alix jumps in to defend Bréval, branding him a public menace and urging him to file a complaint—offering to be a witness in the process. Grateful for her support, Eloi invites Alix to lunch as a token of appreciation.
During their meal, Alix captures their conversation on record, successfully prompting Mr. Bréval to admit his role in causing a heart attack.
Eve’s Freedom from Prison
At the police station, Captain Léoni briefs Commissioner Becker on how he tracked down Keller. He reveals that Eliott finally confessed to being Curtis’s driver and overheard him discussing a formidable competitor. In a twist, Eliott agreed to act as bait to spring his mother from prison.
Although Keller has been apprehended, the commissioner notes the lack of concrete evidence against him. Manu then brings up a critical piece of evidence: a dried drop of blood found on the trafficker’s motorcycle helmet.
Meanwhile, Thierry conducts an interrogation with Eliott, who insists he had no involvement in Curtis Alvez’s drug trafficking. Despite the officer’s skepticism, Eliott reiterates that he risked his life to help catch Keller. After signing his statement, Eliott is released as a free man.
Elsewhere, Commissioner Becker, Yann, and Judge Laplace review the case. Despite Sébastien Keller’s silence regarding Curtis’s murder, forensic analysis confirms that the blood on his helmet belongs to the deceased. Additionally, law enforcement uncovered a large stash of drugs and numerous weapons, including the firearm used to kill Curtis, at Keller’s restaurant. Judge Laplace instructs the commissioner to commend Manu for his efforts and to inform him that Eliott will soon be released. The judge acknowledges Eliott’s crucial assistance in capturing Keller, deciding against any prosecution.
In another location, Manu and Eliott venture into the woods to free Yvan. Before letting him go, Manu advises him to leave Montpellier promptly.
As they head back, Manu requests Eliott to return the revolver he took from Keller, cautioning him to refrain from involving Eve in his escapades again. When Eliott points out that Eve chose to help him, Manu halts the car and leaves him stranded in the woods.
Meanwhile, Boris and Muriel share a drink, during which the young man checks in on his colleague. She confides that her situation is challenging and hasn’t improved with Eliott. However, she expresses gratitude for Boris’s support, which helped her gain perspective as she allowed Eliott to see Toma again.
At day’s end, Manu awaits Eve’s release from prison. Upon spotting him, the French teacher rushes into his embrace, kissing him passionately and thanking him for all he has done for her.
