A Céret player revived during warm-up after a heart attack

The presence of rescuers and their intervention undoubtedly saved the life of a rugby player from Céret. The player from the Pyrénées-Orientales club, whose identity has not been revealed, was warming up before the Federal 1 meeting in Grasse, when he collapsed on the ground. He immediately took charge of a volunteer firefighter and first aiders from the Grasse club.

After long cardiac massages and the intervention of the firefighters, called to the scene, he was resuscitated and transported to Cannes hospital where his condition was stable in the evening. Given the emotion caused by this incident, among the players of both teams in particular, the decision was made to postpone the meeting.
